SeedCamp is a fantastic initiative where young entrepreneurs can present their venture to an audience of venture capitalists, business angels and successful entrepreneurs and hopefully win the contest with some financial rewards (some seeded money in exchange of minority shares in the company). This annual event was funded last year by Saul Klein former VP of Skype and currently Partner at the famous VC Index Venture. Reshma Sohoni serves as CEO of SeedCamp.
22 companies have been shortlisted for the 2008 SeedCamp Finale. The event will take between 15 and 19 September in London.
2 travel related companies are among the finalists: TripWolf and EnTrip.
TripWolf is an Austrian company who deals with social travel guides and EnTrip, an English company that tries to crack the online trip planning dilemma.
